As the year races toward the finish line, things are anything but slowing down at Renlaw! Our team is hard at work — putting in long hours, meeting tight deadlines, and doing everything possible to make sure your orders are completed before the holiday shutdown. The final stretch of the year is always one of our busiest times, and 2025 is no exception. Everyone is giving their all to finish strong before we take a well-earned breather over the festive season.
Renlaw will be closing on Friday, 12 December 2025 and re-opening on Friday, 9 January 2026 for our annual shutdown, which falls over the South African builders’ holidays.
As many of our customers know, this period is the industry standard time for companies to pause operations, carry out essential maintenance, and allow staff to rest and recharge. But before we swap our overalls for hiking boots, fishing rods, and surfboards, our workshop will be running at full steam to get as much work out as possible.
Please note that we experience a high volume of orders leading up to December, which affects lead times. No rush orders can be processed between October and December, and quoted lead times do not include the shutdown period. We recommend adding an extra three weeks for projects scheduled over this time.
While our machines will take a break, our people will be making the most of the South African summer — some heading for the mountains, some to the sea, and others enjoying lazy days with family and friends. Whether we’re fishing, hiking, mountain biking, or just soaking up the sun, this downtime helps us return in January with renewed energy and fresh focus for the year ahead.
